We're delighted to announce that our Yorkshire fostering team have received their third ‘Outstanding’ rating following an official inspection from Ofsted earlier this year.
As well as being praised for the quality of our foster parent training, the report commended the trusted and secure relationships among our staff, foster parents and children, and how we support children into adulthood to achieve the best outcomes.
The report stated: “Children are making exceptional progress from their starting points. This is because of the excellent quality of care that they receive from their foster carers and the agency’s practice.
“This high standard of care is underpinned by the excellent use of theoretical and therapeutic approaches. This supports and equips foster carers with the skills and resilience to cope with children’s ever-changing needs. One child said that their foster carers ‘are amazing’.”
Craig Clark, registered manager at Orange Grove Yorkshire, said: “It takes a lot of work, care and consideration to achieve an Ofsted Outstanding rating. It’s testament to our incredible foster parents and support staff that we’ve now achieved this result in three consecutive inspections.
“Fostering is a wonderful thing to do for our children and young people, and in Yorkshire today there is still a huge need for more people to step forward into this career. We nurture, support and train our foster parents so that they feel empowered to do the same for the children in their care.”
Feedback from foster parents was described as ‘overwhelmingly positive’ with one foster parent saying: “We have found the agency warm, friendly, professional and helpful throughout our fostering journey. We are extremely happy working with them and couldn’t recommend them enough for new prospective carers.”
