At Orange Grove, our training is fully customised to suit your personal journey, ensuring you have the skills and confidence to thrive in this rewarding role.

New foster parents start with our Prepare to Foster programme, an essential introduction completed during the assessment stage.

Once approved, you’ll complete our Mandatory Training and then move on to specialised courses designed around your family’s particular needs. From emotional regulation and cultural awareness to enhancing communication with children in your care, our team will work with you to create a learning plan that empowers you to make a meaningful difference.

Our training options are flexible, with both online modules and interactive sessions that can be accessed from home, allowing you to build your skills at your own pace.

We’re proud to welcome foster parents from all walks of life. Whether single, in a couple, or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, if you’re passionate about providing loving, stable homes for children, we’re here to support you.
