Supporting families across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire, our Long Eaton training centre hosts a wide range of training, support groups and events for the whole family to help you grow your support network within our fostering community.

With us, you’ll have a dedicated local team of social workers and family support workers providing support, reassurance, and guidance, ensuring your entire family enjoys a rewarding fostering experience.

Long Eaton fostering allowances

When you foster with Orange Grove, you receive a generous fostering allowance, usually tax-free due to special tax rules.

Tailored professional development

Fostering doesn’t require prior experience—just a willingness to learn and a dedication to making a positive impact. At Orange Grove, our training is tailored to fit each foster family's unique needs, giving you the tools to thrive in this rewarding role.

With a range of flexible options, including online modules and interactive sessions from home, you can build your skills at a pace that suits you.

When you begin your fostering journey, you'll complete our Prepare to Foster course. This induction training equips you with essential skills, preparing you to care for children with confidence.

Once approved, you’ll complete our Mandatory Training and can then advance to specialised courses. We’ll work with you to create a customised training plan to ensure you feel prepared for every aspect of fostering.
