Could you become a foster parent in Salisbury?
With an increase in the number of children in care who need a loving and safe environment, we’re urging people in Salisbury to consider the rewarding career of becoming a foster parent.
Fostering is open to anybody who has the right qualities, regardless of your relationship status, ethnic background, sexuality or gender. As a foster parent, it will be your job to provide a child, or children, with a nurturing home environment and loving care.
We don’t look for perfection in our foster parents; instead, we’re looking for dedication, a willingness to learn, and a real passion for helping others. Does this sound like you? If so, we’d love to hear from you and give you more information on fostering.
Excellent training opportunities for foster parents
No one expects you to come into fostering knowing everything. In fact, you don’t need to have previous experience working with or raising children; we offer a fantastic range of training which will give you all the tools you need to be an incredible foster parent.
With the help of the supportive staff within our Southern Counties team, we’ll make sure that you can access our training in whichever way suits you best, whether that be face-to-face or online. We understand how busy life can be, so we’ll do all we can to accommodate your individual needs and those of your family throughout your fostering journey.
Salisbury fostering allowance
As an Orange Grove foster parent, you’ll receive a generous allowance to help you provide outstanding care to young people. This allowance is generally tax-free, thanks to a tax break designed specifically for foster parents.
You’ll also enjoy a variety of additional benefits, including payments for religious festivals and birthdays, up to 22 nights of paid respite, exclusive discounts through our rewards platform, and an exclusive referral scheme.
