What do we look for in foster parents?

Every foster parent is different, and that’s something we really embrace and encourage. You may think you’re too old to foster, or that your sexuality, gender identity, or a disability may hold you back. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Single or married, straight or LGBTIQA+, no matter your race, religion or beliefs, we’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about helping children. Why not enquire with us today and see how fostering could change your life?

Why foster in Lincolnshire with Orange Grove?

How do I get started as a foster parent?

When you enquire about fostering with us, we'll work closely with you to help determine if fostering is the right fit for your family.

After a brief call with a member of our enquiries team, you may choose to proceed with an initial visit. During this visit, you'll get to know us better, and we'll learn more about you.

If, after the visit, you feel that fostering is the right path for you, you'll be invited to complete an application form. If your application is successful, you'll be assigned an assessing social worker, and together, we'll guide you through the assessment process.

The assessment process typically takes between 4-6 months. During the assessment process you’ll receive several visits from a social worker at your home and necessary paperwork, background checks and training modules will be completed before going to panel.

Once you’re approved as a foster parent, our dedicated referrals team will begin working behind the scenes to find the children who you are best suited to support. Learn more about getting started as a foster parent in Lincolnshire.
