No prior experience is required to become a foster parent because, at Orange Grove, our foster care training is customised to suit your needs and will help you grow in this rewarding role.
If you are new to fostering, you’ll start with our Prepare to Foster programme. This foundational training covers essential topics like attachment and trauma, giving you solid knowledge and skills to build on.
From there, you’ll move on to our Mandatory Training, then advance to specialised courses aligned with your family’s unique circumstances. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge on autism, ADHD, mental health, or well-being, we’ll work with you to identify any areas for development and create a tailored plan to support you in making a meaningful impact in young lives.
With a variety of flexible training options—including online modules and interactive home sessions—you can expand your fostering skills at your own pace.
