Could you foster in Bournemouth?
There’s a growing need in your community for caring individuals to provide children with the loving, patient care they deserve. If you've been considering becoming a foster parent in Bournemouth, now is the perfect time to begin this rewarding journey.
Providing quality care for children is at the heart of what we do. When you foster with us, your local Orange Grove team will ensure that every member of your family receives tailored support to thrive. With 25 years of experience in matching children with exceptional foster parents, you’ll be joining a team rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted for three consecutive inspections.
Who can foster?
When it comes to foster parents, we’re not looking for perfection— we’re looking for people with plenty of love and care to give, who are responsible, adaptable and passionate about helping to improve the lives of young people who have faced difficult early experiences.
Everyone over the age of 21 who has a spare room and the right to live and work in the UK is welcome to apply to foster. Children who are waiting for loving homes come from a diverse variety of backgrounds, and we want that to be reflected and celebrated in the people who take care of them.
Bournemouth fostering allowance
As a foster parent, you’ll receive a fostering allowance to reward you for all of your hard work in being a foundation of support to the children in your care. Our fostering allowance is competitive and goes above and beyond what is offered by most local authorities.
Some working people who would love to foster worry that fostering would mean leaving work. However, you can rely on us to help support you if you decide to keep working while fostering.
Why you should choose us
- Delivering quality care to children is our top priority, and we're committed to providing personalised support for every member of your family including you, the children in your care, and your own children too. Learn more about our fantastic range of support.
- When matching children with foster families, we recognise that different children have different needs, and we use a careful matching process to make sure that we find the right fit for each child in need of a home as well as for your family.
- Our foster parent training is informed by the latest research in child development and trauma, and is available both in-person at our Southern Counties office or online through classroom and e-learning courses. Designed to fit around your schedule, our wide range of additional training is tailored to the unique needs of the children in your care.
